We will be hiking a short portion of the Appalachian Trail. A very scenic segment from Bull’s Bridge in Kent, following along the Housatonic River to the Ten Mile River and then back. This will be a total of 2.5 miles.
We will car pool from Faith Church. Meet us in the back parking lot of the church at 12:45 pm. It is a 25-minute ride from the church up Route 7 to Bulls Bridge. We should get back to the church between 5 – 5:30pm (if we stop for a bite to eat on the return).
Please wear good walking shoes (hiking boots are preferable as it could be muddy), dress for the weather, and bring water and a snack. This hike is suitable for most people in reasonably good health, and the terrain is rolling with rocks and roots along the trail, but not too difficult. Please let our guide Allison know if you have any questions or health concerns (203-240-7897). Rain will cancel the hike.
